Responsible Mining

Ethical and ecological values are a component of the way Ana Khouri was raised. With this mindset, it was natural for her to implement these practices in her work environment.

“I’ve always believed that you should do what you believe in, stand out and make a change. We are proudly part of the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM) to whom we report our fair trade purchases and discuss ethics in environmental practices. Working with ethically sourced Fairmined Gold on our jewelry, allows us to help and promote responsible mining practices, focusing on a gold that is sourced from responsible artisanal and small-scale mining organizations."

"By working with these materials, we promote responsible, ethical, social and environmental practices, contributing to the change we want to see in the world.” All our precious gems are responsibly and ethically sourced natural gems from certified distributors that have not been altered in any laboratory. Khouri’s designs are handcrafted in NYC where her company is based.

Ana's designs are numbered editions or one of a kind pieces. Her production follows strict labor and safety practices. “We are committed to responsible labor practices, respecting the artisan’s well-being, safety and labor hours. All of our artisans’ ateliers and our offices have adopted procedures which demonstrate our commitment to the environment.”

In addition to using Fairmined Gold and Fair Trade gold as a base for her jewelry, Khouri donates a sales percentage to the communities of artisans she works with. It is her goal to maintain this consciousness from the beginning until the end of the process.

Over the years, Ana Khouri has donated and helped support numerous charities and social organizations around. Such as UNICEF, Brazil Foundation, Childhood Foundation, Save the Children, GlassWing Org International, Aldeas Infantiles DOS in Mexico, FADA, APAE among many others.
